Created to raise funds and help Watsonville recover from the aftermath of the Loma Prieta Earthquake in 1994 , the Watsonville Strawberry festival has since become a tradition recognizing one of the most profitable crops in the Pajaro Valley, and bringing the Watsonville community together. Filled with live music, vendors, performances and friendly competitions the festival provides a safe and family friendly environment to those who attend.
